Not only are they SO cute, but they make drinking water so easy! I REALLY trying hard to drink a lot of water since I’m nursing and trying to lose the rest of my baby weight. I don’t know what it is about drinking out of a straw, but I always seem to drink more when I do…is this just me? Tangled & Monogrammed Easter Items

Tangled came out on DVD today Kaleigh was SO excited to go get it. She has been talking about it for weeks!

What a CUTE CUTE movie! I love having a little girl, and watching all the princess movies with her. Girls are just SO fun.

Bowman did not sleep well last night. When Brooks got home I took a little nap, and thought Kaleigh was going to watch her new movie. I woke up and she still had not watched it, which I couldn’t believe! She said she wanted to wait on me to watch it with her. How sweet is that? I know there will come a day when I have to beg to watch movies with her. I soaked up the moment for all it was worth! We made icecream sundaes and had a little girls night. She loved the movie & so did I. I don’t think I’ll ever quit loving Disney movies.

Busy, Busy, Busy

Our household is crazy right now. This blogging is not as easy to fit in as I thought it would be!

This is Brooks’ schedule:

Work, Soccer Practice or Soccer Match, Graduate School, Home to work on Graduate School papers, Bed, Repeat.

Whew! Does that not make you EXHAUSTED just reading it?

Kaleigh LOVES going to Brooks’ soccer matches. She thinks the middle school girls are so “cool”. They are all so sweet to her. She thinks she is their age. It’s so fun to watch. I can remember being younger and looking up to the older kids too. It’s so funny how having children brings out the child in you!

I love watching her when she thinks I’m not watching. It’s so funny to see her turning into a little “person”. She has become so independent and social since she started MMO. I am so proud of her!

I got an early Mother’s Day present this week. A serger! I am so excited about it. I hope that it will allow me to fly through making clothes and I will be able to share the cute monogrammed dresses I make for Kaleigh with everyone else!

I am also hoping to be able to make Personalized Baby Bedding and Personalized Children’s Bedding at a faster pace with my new toy. As soon as I get my “act” together I’ll get some pictures, samples, etc. up and have the bedding ready for purchasing.

And before I go to bed- how sweet is he??? Goodness, I must say, I am in complete LOVE with this boy. Of course I loved him when he was put in my arms, but lately his little personality has developed and he has me wrapped around his little finger. Honestly- if I could, I would just sit and snuggle with him all day long.

Can you believe Easter is just around the corner already? It seems like time flys by so fast now that I have children.

Brooks and I took the kids to see his Grandmother, “Meme”, after church today. She is one of the SWEETEST ladies. Kaleigh loves going over there because when we go to leave she gets to fix a goody bag. These goody bags are usually overflowing with Moon Pies, Granola Bars, Nutty Buddy Bars, Snack Size Baby Ruths, and more. I personally love the goody bags too Especially the Baby Ruths with cup of coffee!

My “goody bag” from Meme today were these beautiful flowers from her camilla bushes. Does anyone have any tips on propagating these? I would LOVE to have these blooming at our house! The bad thing is, I would probably always cut the flowers off and bring them inside…

When we moved into our new house, I thought I had 3 more weeks to unpack and decorate everything, but Bowman decided to surprise us instead! Needless to say, not much progress has been made in the decorating area…but, there has been a lot of snuggling with a chunky little 3 month old.

I need some ideas for the drapes in here. I just can’t decide on a color and style. I’m leaning towards a solid since the rug is so busy. I know I want to do drapes to the ground and bunch them together in random spots. I think I can’t decide because I’m not happy with the wall color.

I also need a centerpiece. Any ideas??

If you look at the date of the previous post, you will see it has been quite a while since I have blogged about what is happening at Get Dolled Up Boutique.

This sweet boy is why:

Meet the newest addtion to the Get Dolled Up family:our sweet son, Bowman.

Okay, I know these are my children, but is this not the most beautiful picture you have ever seen? Every time I look at this all I can think is, “Wow. God is SO GOOD”.

Kaleigh has been the SWEETEST big sister. I was so worried about jelousy, resentment, or her feeling left out. Well, all my worries were for nothing! Bowman is HER baby. She loves to sing to him, give him his paci, and helping change diapers. We have to remind her sometimes he is not a babydoll!

I don’t know about everyone else, but I am STILL getting used to having 2 children…WOW, this is a totally different ballgame! Once one child is alseep the other is waking up. A sippy cup or a bottle always needs to be made. Diapers need changing, laundry needs folding, meals need making…oh and then there is Get Dolled Up Boutique! I know….I’m out of my mind. BUT- at the end of the day I can’t thank God enough for the privilage to fill every sippy cup, change every diaper, fold every tiny piece of clothing, AND allow me to bring my dreams of having my own store a reality. Please note: I could not do ANY of this without my amazing husband. He is so supportive of everything I do-even if it means him staying up helping me pack boxes and then getting up early to go to work. He does everything in his power to make all my dreams come true.

So, that is what I’ve been doing the past 3 months. I THINK I’ve finally gotten the hang of 2 kids & running a business…well at this EXACT moment- tomorrow is another day! Thank you to all the wonderful Get Dolled Up customers for your patience with longer production times, your well wishes and support to me and my family, and for your business!

At an attempt to chart these crazy moments of my life so I can look back one day and laugh- I’m going to TRY to blog frequently. I hope other stay at home mommies can relate & we can support each other along the way. I especially home to reachout to the work at home mommies. No one will ever know how much work you put in unless they have done it as well. I greatly respect women that work out of the home- I don’t think I could ever do it, but I think WAHMs are VERY special. I hope all Moms will read this and maybe we can help each other
